Information
Mount Nebo offers a sweeping view across the Jordan Valley toward Jericho and, on clear days, Jerusalem. The Memorial Church of Moses, restored by Franciscan archaeologists, protects sixth-century mosaics depicting hunting and pastoral scenes.
How to visit
Mount Nebo is about 30 km southwest of Amman and 10 km from Madaba. Wheelchair access is available to the church platform. Photography is allowed but flash is restricted near the mosaics. Combine the visit with the mosaic map at Saint George's Church in Madaba.
